As part of the CREATIVE PROCESS unit, Ad student Ernie Ciaschetti was required to research a sporting item, find a USP over competitors and make an A4 print ad supporting it. The USP was that Gray-Nicolls was the only cricket bat brand to restore the timber willow they used for the production of their bats. They call this program the “Willow replenishment program”. Ernie came up with the headline Saw.Restore.Score, which literally means saw the tree, restore the willow and score with both a quality product and environmentally responsible program. This student project won Ernie the Best Achievement award at Graduation.
